  1. Prepare of Pasta (penne, elbow macaroni, spaghetti).
  2. It's of Prego italian pasta sauce (with chunky combo).

  6. Prepare of Mozzarella cheese (grated).
  7. You need of Meat broth (pork or beef).
  8. You need of Salt.

  11. Prepare of White Sauce.
  12. You need of Butter.
  13. It's of All purpose flour.
  14. It's of Evaporated milk.
  15. It's of Cheddar cheese (grated).

It was gobbled up by everyone. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta. Put the butter in a medium skillet over medium-low heat. Add the liquid, and adjust the heat so that the mixture simmers gently.

Baked Pasta w/ White Sauce step by step

  1. Cook pasta in hot boiling water. Note that salt and oil must be added to the water before boiling to avoid the pasta from sticking with each other..
  2. Once pasta is cooked (al dente), strain water.Set the pasta aside..
  3. Saute the onion and garlic in a pan with oil in medium heat..
  4. Add the gound meat. Cook until the meat turns light brown..
  5. Season with salt and black pepper..

  9. Add meat broth..
  10. Add some grated cheddar cheese..
  11. Add a little sugar to adjust the taste. Feel free to add more salt and black pepper to attain the test desired..
  12. Let it simmer for another 3-5 mins, then set aside..
  13. In a saucepan, melt butter in medium heat..
  14. Portion by portion, add the flour, stir, then add milk. Stir constantly until all lumps dissolve. Repeat this step until milk is consumed..
  15. Season the saice with salt and white pepper..
  16. Mix the cooked pasta with the pasta sauce, then place the mixtire in a baking dish..
  17. Cover the top of the pasta with lots of mozzarella cheese..
  18. Pour the prepared white sauce..
  19. Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Bake for 20 mins..
  20. Serve with toasted garlic bread..

Cook the pasta until it is tender but not at all mushy. The sauce should be just thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Season the white sauce to taste with kosher salt and black pepper. If desired, you can add a pinch of nutmeg. Give the sauce a final whisk to make sure there are no lumps. (You can also strain the sauce through a fine mesh sieve if you want.) Melt butter and margarine in a saucepan over medium-low heat; stir in flour and bouillon until roux is well blended.
